Svendborg SDB Thruster drum brakes are essential in port crane applications, providing reliable and robust braking performance to handle the heavy loads and demanding conditions of port operations. Braking torque up to 9600 Nm.

The Limited Rail Clamp (LRC) features a spring set and hydraulic or electrically release that is guided along a rail via guiding blocks, providing compensation of +/- 30 mm horizontally and +/- 5 mm vertically. Holding Capacity up to 650 kN. The LRC can be ordered as a Top Flange TF or side flange SF mounted version.

The Retractable Rail Clamp (RRC) features a spring set and hydraulic or electrically release, which retracts above the rail with a setting time of 2 to 30 seconds, and offers compensation of +/- 30 mm horizontally and +/- 25 mm vertically. Braking force up to 1200 kN.

The Guided Rail Clamps (GRC) feature a spring set and hydraulic or electrically release, guided above the rail via low wear rollers, and offer compensation of +/- 30 mm horizontally and +/- 25 mm vertically. Braking force up to 1000 kN.

The Hydraulic Release Rail Brakes (RB) feature spring-based braking on the top of the rail, balanced braking force, and oversized, longer-lasting springs for reduced maintenance. Braking force up to 300 kN.

The Electric Wheel Brakes (EWB) feature a spring set with a patented fully electric release, no hydraulic components, an adjustable setting time from 3 to 30 seconds, and a shoe alignment device. Braking force up to 120 kN.

The Hydraulic Wheel Brakes (HWB) feature a spring set with hydraulic release, self-lubricating bushings and stainless steel pins on all pivot points, an adjustable setting time from 3 to 30 seconds, and a shoe alignment device. Braking force up to 120 kN.

These brakes are self-adjusting and feature a larger hub design with more splined teeth for dynamic stopping in both freshwater and saltwater crane applications.
